Swans (song)
The current iteration of the band performed for the very last time at Warsaw in Brooklyn in two sold-out shows. This is the end of the most interesting returns in music history. Swans released four impeccable albums over the past eight years, and then disbanded – just like that! It is going to be a while before we hear back from this project; hopefully, the next chapter will be as exciting as the page Michael Gira is currently turning. This was a show to remember and yet business as usual for Swans: brutally loud, bold, emotional and challenging – in other words, the definition of a brilliant concert and the bookend to an era in the band’s history.
